This body of work began in 2020 during the COVID-19 lockdown period of the ongoing pandemic. This practice of painting with digital tools continued past the lockdown due to limitations disability placed on Hufford's painting practice.
These works were made in a single session from observation. He used the circle brush tool set to 100% opacity while drawing with his fingers on his laptop trackpad to create these paintings. He placed these constraints on his practice so that the digital paintings could be distinctly digital while retaining the practice of mixing observed color.
